Description

A   general   growth   medium   specifically   designed   for commissioning of aseptic filling machines in the pharmaceutical allied industries. It is a simple formulation incorporating pepto yeast extract and sucrose as energy sources, and phenol red indicate growth of organisms producing acid. Gas production turbidity also indicate growth and are indicated by bubbles Durham's tubes or distortion of plastic packaging. It is suitable sterilisation by filtration, passing quickly through the filters, and reducing blockage.
