Buffered Listeria Enrichment Broth LAB 139 Description A medium for the selective enrichment of food and environmental samples for Listeria spp, LAB 139 is a buffered version of the ‘FDA' broth LAB 138. The extra buffering capacity maintains the pH of the enrichment culture during incubation, ensuring optimum conditions for the recovery of Listeria spp. Formula | g/litre | Tryptone | 17.0 | Soy peptone | 3.0 | Sodium chloride | 5.0 | Dipotassium hydrogen phosphate | 2.5 | Glucose | 2.5 | Yeast Extract | 6.0 | Potassium dihydrogen phosphate | 1.35 | Disodium hydrogen phosphate | 9.6 |
