0,025M CALCIUM CHLORIDE SOLUTION FORCOAGULATION TESTS
Cat. No.: coag113 Size: 12 x 16 ml
Cat. No.: coag114 Size: 12 x 4 ml
(For In Vitro Diagnostic Use Only)
Coag-o-test CaCl2 is intended for haemostasis screening tests such as activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT).
SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND
The CaCl2 is necessary to APTT test, which is a general screening test of the intrinsic coagulation pathway (Factors: XII, XI, X, IX, VIII, V, II, I).
Coag-o-test CaCl2 is a 0,025M buffered solution with stabilizer.
The solution contains sodium azide. It can form metallic azides, which may be potentially explosive in metal plumbing. Execute proper precaution!
Specimens, samples and all materials coming into contact with them should be handled as if capable of transmitting infection and disposed of with proper precautions.
Do not use the reagent beyond the expiration date printed on the label!
Avoid microbial contamination of the reagent or erroneous results may occur.
All reagents, waste and utilized disposable laboratory equipments should be considered as hazardous waste. Their handling and disposal should be done according to the valid hazardous material processing regulation.
Coag-o-test CaCl2 solution is provided ready for use.
INSTRUCTION FOR USE
Follow the instructions described in the package insert of the APTT for the parameter to be tested.
STORAGE AND STABILITY
Coag-o-test CaCl2 solution in intact vial is stable until the expiration date given on the vial, when stored at 2-8°C. Stability after opening in the original vial: one day at 37°C, three days at 16°C and seven days at 2-8°C. Do not freeze!
Person installing the reagent must be a trained laboratory professional.
MATERIALS REQUIRED BUT NOT PROVIDED
Coag-o-test CaCl2 is recommended to the following haemostasis screening test:
Activated partial thromboplastin time
